Why it’s so important: Dance is one of my main methods of communication. As somebody who is diagnosed with a non-specific learning difficulty, words are not always my best friend. Dance allows me to express myself from my soul. There is not a right or wrong. Everybody should have dance in their life.
And yes, that is me in the Po costume, my big sister Bryony smiling sweetly behind.

Why am I writing a blog?
Good question. Especially as we’ve just established that words are not my best friend. However, circumstances recently have made me want to just sit and read/write. It’s very out of character for me. I am writing a blog about my journey with my Depression and Anxiety, pinpointing the highs and lows, looking at triggers, exploring ways to overcome these difficulties and more. All of what I write is my own opinion and experience of my personal journey. If it can help just one person in anyway, that would be a wonderful thing. But, maybe selfishly, it is here for me to write down my thoughts and feelings to remind me of how far I have come and how far I’ve got to go. The mind is a hugely powerful thing. You’ve just got to know how to manage and manipulate it sometimes. Got a question? Ask me. Got feedback? Tell me. (Please try and put it nicely!). Let’s do this.
